What are shuttles?

Shuttles are a popular alternative to the bus for travelers wanting a more personal experience getting to their destination. They are usually cars or small vans, and fall into two classes: Private, and Shared.

This page is about Private shuttles, which are those you charter for yourself or your group, are door-to-door, and you determine the departure time.

Private vs. Shared

Private shuttles are door-to-door services, customized to your itinerary and the size of your group. They stop whenever and wherever you want along the main route, and are priced for the whole vehicle including the driver. The calculator below is for you to reserve a private shuttle for the route you design. Use this page to reserve one.

Shared shuttles are more like a public bus, just smaller. You can think of them as carpools but have no permanent members. They operate on a set schedule like buses, are rapid and direct, but since you share the few seats with other strangers, there are no customized stops, and they pick up and drop off at centralized offices.

Shared shuttles are also subject to being cancelled if there aren’t enough riders. Prices for shared shuttle are per seat, and you search for them through our home page where you can filter the results to Shared Shuttles.

Shared shuttles are more expensive than a bus, but less expensive than a private shuttle.

CUSTOM ITINERARIES

If you can’t find your particular itinerary through the calculator, we can certainly work with you on a custom itinerary request. Just use the Custom Itinerary Shuttle Form to tell us where you want to go and when, and the number of passengers, and we’ll get back to you with a price and availability. Please consult a minimum of seven days in advance to improve your chances of booking. Shuttle inquiries made during the weekend will be reviewed on the next business day (Monday).
