Description
This package includes three separate and most popular destinations. The first is the El Junco lagoon, a perfectly circular volcanic crater draped in lush green forest that you walk to on a ten-minute hike from the road. You are then taken farther east to Galapaguera de Cerro Colorado, which is famous for providing a haven for giant tortoises along with an interpretive center that explains the species and its habitat. The final destination is the beautiful trek to the secluded beach at Puerto Chino, also about ten minutes of hiking.
Your driver is not an official tour guide and may speak only Spanish. A guide is not required to visit.
The road to the reserve is one of the best places to watch land birds. Tree and ground finches, warbling birds, and cattle egrets inhabit the area and occasionally Pachays have been seen.
Service starts from either the airport or your hotel on Puerto Baquerizo Moreno.

- Please remember to bring comfortable hiking shoes, as well as swimwear and towels for the beach.
